Role:

As a QA Engineer at Xactly’s Bangalore office, you will be an integral part of the engineering team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the company’s products. This full-time position requires a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also passionate about quality assurance and the role it plays in delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as a QA Engineer will involve a full spectrum of testing activities, ensuring that Xactly’s products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key responsibilities include:

End-to-End Testing Lifecycle You will be responsible for testing both existing and new features of Xactly’s products. This includes developing and executing test strategies, designing test plans, automating test cases, and reporting bugs.
Automation The role requires experience with GUI automation tools like Selenium and API automation tools like JUnit. You’ll be expected to develop and maintain automated test scripts, ensuring that all features are thoroughly tested and reliable.
Scrum Methodology As part of an Agile team, you will work closely with developers and product managers to ensure that automated tests are a part of the definition of done. This requires a strong understanding of Scrum principles and experience working in an Agile environment.
Enterprise Application Testing You will focus on testing enterprise-level business applications, particularly those built on J2EE. Experience with enterprise software and a deep understanding of how these applications function is essential.
SQL and Oracle Strong SQL query skills are required, and experience with Oracle databases is preferred. You will be responsible for writing and executing complex queries to validate data integrity and application performance.
Product-Based Experience Experience working in a product-based company is highly valued, as it demonstrates an understanding of the complexities involved in developing and maintaining software products over the long term.
Optional Skills While not mandatory, experience with build and deployment tools like Jenkins is a plus. This knowledge will help streamline the testing and deployment process, ensuring that releases are smooth and error-free.
