About the Role
Visa is hiring Software Engineers in Test for its Authorization Services Test Engineering team. You will work at the heart of VisaNet, contributing to the core payment systems that support secure global transactions. This role blends both manual and automation testing and offers an opportunity to work across a range of legacy and modern technologies including mainframes, C sharp, dot net, REXX and more.
This is the perfect launchpad for recent engineering graduates who want to develop deep technical skills while learning from a team of industry leaders. You’ll gain hands-on experience in both software testing and quality engineering while supporting large-scale deployments on IBM mainframe systems.
Responsibilities
Test Engineering and Automation

Design and develop robust test automation frameworks, infrastructure and tools

Write clean and efficient code using technologies like REXX, C sharp, dot net, and Java
-
Create tools to automate repetitive tasks and increase test coverage

Work with testing tools like Postman, Selenium, SOAP UI and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
-
Contribute to secure software development practices and ensure compliance with Visa’s SDLC standards
Manual and Mainframe Testing
-
Plan, design and execute functional, regression and exploratory test cases
-
Use both manual methods and internal testing tools for mainframe-based applications
-
Collaborate with developers and system architects to address design or implementation gaps
-
Participate in integration and end-to-end testing with cross-functional teams

Track and report testing progress and project risks to technical leads and stakeholders
What We’re Looking

B.E or B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics
-
6 to 18 months of relevant work, internship or academic project experience
-
Hands-on skills in at least one programming language such as C sharp, Java, Python or C plus plus
-
Exposure to or interest in mainframe-based systems, especially z TPF and REXX
-
Familiarity with software testing concepts, SDLC and STLC
-
Passion for automation, innovation, and quality engineering

Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset
Bonus Skills

Experience working with ISO 8583 message formats or SOAP and JSON based APIs

Understanding of databases and SQL

Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies
