QATAR AIRWAYS IS HIRING: SOFTWARE TESTING SPECIALIST (MANUAL TESTING)-MIN 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE
As a Software Testing Specialist at Qatar Airways Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our software products. You will be responsible for organizing and conducting software testing based on functional, non-functional, and interface specification requirements. Your tasks will include preparing system artifacts, developing and implementing quality control tests, and supporting users in acceptance testing.
Eligibility:
- Educational Background – Bachelor’s Degree or Honors in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences, Commerce, or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience.
- Testing Knowledge Proficient in various testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Problem-Solving Skills Strong problem-solving skills to test software, identify bugs, and resolve errors.
- Communication Skills Excellent communication skills to collaborate with QA, development, and business groups, ensuring products are free of errors.
- Automation Experience with automation tools such as Selenium and preferably experience in developing automation scripts is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Test Cases Create test cases according to requirements acceptance criteria to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Document and Track Defects Clearly document defects found during testing in the bug tracking system and follow up until they are resolved to ensure a high-quality deliverable to end users.
- Communication and Reporting Communicate effectively, track testing progress, and write accurate test reports in the defined format to ensure organizational and project guidelines are achieved.
- Collaboration Work closely with developers, project managers, and other teams to analyze requirements and resolve software issues.
- Create Test Plans Develop test plans for various types of tests including regression, system integration, load and performance, and user acceptance tests (UAT).
- Perform Various Testing Types Conduct smoke testing, functional testing, front-end testing, regression testing, and support client acceptance testing.
- Develop Automation Tests Design and develop automation tests to enhance the regression test scope of software releases.
- UAT Defect Analysis Analyze UAT defects to determine their cause and capture lessons learned to prevent future occurrences.
