India Post has announced a massive recruitment drive for the position of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) for the financial year 2024-25. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- 10th class Secondary School Examination passed certificate with passing in Mathematics and English from a recognized board.
- The applicant should have studied the local language up to at least the 10th Standard from a recognized board.
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computer operations
- Ability to ride a bicycle
- Adequate means of livelihood
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a system-generated merit list. The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the 10th standard exam, converted to a percentage accurate to four decimals. If the mark sheet contains both marks and grades/points, total marks will be calculated based on the marks obtained.

- Register: Applicants must register themselves using an active email ID and mobile number to create a registration number and password.
- Payment of Application Fee: Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/-.
- Apply Online: After registration and fee payment, proceed to fill out the online application form.
- Select Division and Preferences: Validate your registration number and mobile number, then select the division and exercise preferences.
- Upload Documents: Upload a recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format and sizes.
- Select Divisional Head: Choose the Divisional Head for document verification at a later stage.
Salary Details
- ABPM/GDS: Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-
- BPM: Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-
