About the Role
As a Data Engineer in IBM Consulting, you will be at the forefront of helping organizations derive value from their data. You’ll play a crucial role in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, integrating structured and unstructured data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement predictive models and statistical solutions using a combination of machine learning and data science techniques

Design and deploy enterprise search applications using tools like Elasticsearch and Splunk

Partner with scientists, engineers, and consultants to bring analytical rigor to complex business problems

Create robust and reusable data pipelines that support both batch and real-time processing

Optimize and maintain data warehouse solutions using platforms like Snowflake
-
Address challenges related to database integration and unstructured data transformation

Develop and test automated workflows for data validation, cleansing, and governance
Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Proven expertise in designing scalable data warehouse systems on Snowflake
-
Experience with Talend for data ingestion and transformation workflows

Strong knowledge of SQL, Shell scripting, and data modeling techniques

Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills

Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus

Understanding of performance tuning, caching strategies, and clustering within Snowflake

Familiarity with cloud data platforms like AWS or Azure

Knowledge of ETL best practices and data governance frameworks
