Role Overview: Technical Associate – L1 Service Desk
As a Technical Associate – Service Desk (L1), you will be the first line of support for Genpact’s IT ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include handling both voice and non-voice support tickets, resolving common user issues, escalating major incidents, and assisting global employees—including executive leadership—with reliable IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle technical issues and service requests using enterprise ticketing tools within defined SLAs
- Manage both Voice and Non-Voice IT support channels simultaneously
- Provide IT support to executive leaders and Board-level users
- Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite (O365), internet browsers, MDM, and ERP application issues
- Offer second-level support for hardware and software
- Participate in business transitions, migrations, site consolidations, and infra upgrade projects
- Ensure Knowledge Base articles are used and updated for better resolution management
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams for hands-on activities
You will also be actively involved in supporting the deployment of new technologies, and contributing to various IT infrastructure projects across the organization.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in technical support and a collaborative attitude toward solving user issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Basic knowledge of Operating Systems (OS), Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Office Suite troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of common tools such as Office 365, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, and standard enterprise applications
Preferred Skills:
- Customer service mindset with a strong problem-solving approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems and basic networking concepts (e.g., LAN, switches, wireless)
