Role Overview
As an Associate Data Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Gartner’s People Analytics initiatives. Your mission is to build and enhance scalable data infrastructures, optimize reporting processes, and derive insights that drive business outcomes in areas such as Quality of Hire, Productivity, and Workforce Planning.
This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, automation of reporting tasks, and continuous innovation to improve data accessibility and quality. If you enjoy problem-solving, process enhancement, and building robust data systems—this is the right role for you.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in designing and maintaining data pipelines for HR and people analytics functions.

Automate and streamline recurring analytics tasks to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Contribute to QA and release management for dashboards and pipeline enhancements.

Work closely with IT to support the development of a structured and accessible HR data warehouse.

Perform root cause and impact analysis for any data-related issues or bugs and help implement solutions.

Deliver high-quality analytics reports and provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

Support various ad-hoc and long-term projects aimed at improving performance, resourcing, and quality of hire.

Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and provide data solutions.
Required Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in data automation, analytics, or data engineering roles.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Management Science, or a related field.

Strong understanding of data structures, problem-solving, and statistical thinking.

Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data transformation, and pipeline design.

Experience working with Power BI or other visualization tools (Visier experience is a plus).

Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Azure, and cloud-based data architecture.
