About the Role
Deloitte is hiring an Associate Analyst to join its Quality and Risk (Q&R) – Independence (Clients) team in Hyderabad. This role is part of Deloitte Australia’s Extended Delivery Centre (EDC), supporting risk and compliance for business relationships and independence checks.
As a key part of the Independence – Clients team, your work will focus on maintaining audit independence for Deloitte’s business units, conducting checks, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with Deloitte’s internal global policies. Key Responsibilities

Understand Deloitte’s global policies on third-party business relationships and apply them in everyday tasks.

Conduct research on companies to assess ownership, structure, and business type to determine audit independence.

Perform independence checks using internal systems and document findings as per team protocols.

Maintain up-to-date trackers and support business monitoring activities, including testing for compliance.

Provide administrative and analytical support for internal audits and reviews.

Collaborate regularly with Deloitte’s Quality & Risk teams both in India and Australia.

Communicate status updates, escalate issues as needed, and maintain documentation for work completed.

Stay current on regulatory changes related to KYC and compliance, applying that knowledge in daily tasks.

Assist in developing SOPs and improving operational efficiencies.

Support ad-hoc projects with precision and deliver results within set timelines.
Key Skills Required

Strong research skills using tools such as Ilion, Factiva, Hoovers, OneSource, ASIC, etc.

Good analytical ability and a keen eye for detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to follow documented procedures with minimal supervision.

Strong MS Excel skills and overall computer proficiency.

Team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.

Able to handle multiple tasks and deliver consistently under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

0 to 18 months of relevant experience in financial or market research.

Exposure to the Practice Review domain is a plus.

Familiarity with Deloitte Australia’s business operations is an advantage.
