Our AWS Utility Computing (UC) team drives this innovation by managing and developing services across Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and more. We are looking for an ML Data Associate I to support our mission by engaging in foundational labeling tasks and data analysis that fuel AWS’s industry-leading services.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)
- Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Linguistics, Communications, Foreign Languages, or other language/data-related disciplines.
- Experience with natural language data labeling, data annotation, linguistic annotation, or similar data markup activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Linguistic and Cultural Attention to Detail You’ll need strong grammar skills and an ability to critically evaluate linguistic data, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Critical Thinking and Bias Awareness You’ll be expected to apply analytical skills to recognize and address potential biases in data, including an awareness of your own biases.
- Annotator Experience You’ll need sufficient experience to identify significant issues in tasks and know when to escalate them.
- Communication and Research Strong writing and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to conduct thorough research and comprehend complex materials.
- Domain Expertise Experience in specific domains like healthcare, finance, or retail is a plus, enhancing your ability to contribute effectively.
- Quality Assurance You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards in data labeling and annotation processes.
- PST Timezone Availability You should be willing to work in the PST timezone.
