AMAZON is hiring freshers’ candidates for the role of Data Centre Operation Technician, Data Center Operations (DCO). The details of the job, requirements and other information is given below:

Key job responsibilities:     

A Data Centre Operation Technician at ADSIPL, expectation from role are:

  • You support DC (Data Center) infrastructure equipment (e.g. racks, servers, networking devices, hardware components, cables, etc.),
  • Follow the instruction and perform routine operation activities on hardware, operating systems, or spare parts, including rack install, server break/fix, rack decom etc.
  • Follow a well-defined SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) to replace a hardware component, or a media spare.
  • You work as part of a team performing similar tasks. When shifts change, you need to hand off work to co-workers.
  • You pay attention to the severity of the issue and work to resolve the issue within the stated SLA (Service Level Agreement).
  • You document your work in a ticket tracking system
  • A portion of your work will include inventory management (e.g., identifying, receiving and deploying hardware components)
  • You follow well-defined information security policies and physical safety practices
  • You are expected to escalate when your work deviates from established processes or procedures.
  • You may be asked to escort a visitor or contractor at your site.
  • As a team member of the AWS global support team, you conduct your work in a professional manner and may be trusted to represent AWS with various
  • All our builders are expected to Work safely, securely, and inclusively, always.
  • This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 20kg; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
  • This role involves covering 24×7 shift rotation

Eligibility:

  • Qualification: Are 18 years of age or older
  • High school or equivalent diploma. STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
  • Work for 40 hours/week, and overtime as required. Work 10 hour shifts as needed
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications and Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
  • Data Center Operations: Inventory Management, Hot/Cold Aisles, Security
  • Understanding of network design, protocols and troubleshooting
