Role Overview: Android Developer – I
As an SDE I – Android, you will work alongside some of the sharpest minds in mobile development to create, maintain, and optimize Meesho’s Android apps. You’ll focus on crafting clean, scalable code, collaborating across teams, and innovating new features for our user base.
This role is perfect for developers with 1+ years of Android experience who thrive in high-ownership environments and love solving real-world challenges through mobile innovation.
Key Responsibilities:

Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using Java and Kotlin

Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure high app performance
-
Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and engineers to develop new features
-
Drive architectural decisions and help improve existing Android app structures
-
Fix bugs and optimize performance for better user experiences
-
Mentor junior developers and interns
-
Ensure smooth API integrations and support RESTful API consumption
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field (BE/BTech/BCA/BSc)
-
1+ years of experience in Android development
-
Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Java, Kotlin
-
Familiarity with popular Android libraries: Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, etc.
-
Understanding of Material Design, mobile UX patterns, and architectural patterns (especially MVVM)
-
Experience in debugging tools like ADB, Proguard
-
Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, multithreading, and custom views
-
Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing

Apps published on the Google Play Store are a plus!
