Nokia Hiring: Software Developer – Hybrid (2025)
Nokia is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our global team. This role is based in India with a hybrid work setup and offers opportunities for contributing to network automation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust software systems using programming languages such as Python, Java, GoLang, or Bash
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation solutions for Nokia’s network management products
- Participate in full software development lifecycle including requirement gathering, coding, testing, and deployment
- Develop high-level documentation including test plans, user guides, and implementation guides
- Create automation scripts and tools to streamline network operations for SD-WAN, Optical, and IP solutions
- Deliver technical training and support to customers integrating Operational Support Systems
- Collaborate with internal R and D teams to enhance deployment and integration across multiple network domains
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of eight years of professional experience in at least two languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Core Java
- Proficient understanding of networking protocols including IP, MPLS, Ethernet, routing, and OAM
- Experience with SOAP, REST, YANG, NETCONF, and Kafka APIs
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or DevOps software development practices
- Knowledge of containerization and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, or KVM
- Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle or MySQL is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
