KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK IS HIRING: DEVOPS ENGINEER (0-1 YEAR EXP)

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and provisioning infrastructure and observability platform tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed logging and tracing stacks. You will collaborate with developers and engineers to ensure that our infrastructure and observability practices are effective and efficient. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Shell Scripting and Python, and experience with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes.

Eligibility:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Specialized Experience in civil engineering, customer experience, or working with large companies.
• Advanced Tools Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, OpenTracing, ELK stack, Micrometer, Loki, and Google BigQuery logging.
• Automation Expertise Experience in automating failover/scale-up/scale-down, operational, performance testing, and activities like load testing and chaos testing (e.g., using K6, JMeter, ChaosToolkit, Gremlin).
• Cloud & Orchestration Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, and Terraform.

Key Objectives

• Develop and Implement DevOps Tools Build and implement new DevOps tools and Terraform modules.
• Automation & Improvement Work to automate and enhance the development and release processes.
• Security Implementation Design and implement security controls at the infrastructure layer.
• Disaster Recovery Automate release processes across environments, including disaster recovery regions.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support & Updates Deploy updates, fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support.
• Error Reduction & Customer Experience Build tools to minimize errors and enhance the customer experience.
• Backend Integration Develop software for integration with internal backend systems.
• Observability Tools Design and implement a distributed logging and tracing stack.
• Automation Develop scripts to automate metrics collection and operational dashboards.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Required Skills

• Experience Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
• Technical Proficiency with Git version control, Shell Scripting, or Python.
• Infrastructure Knowledge Working knowledge of Terraform, databases, and SQL.
• Observability Tools Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Problem-Solving & Teamwork Strong problem-solving attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
