MICROSOFT IS HIRING: DATA SCIENTIST (2+ YEARS EXP)
Eligibility:
- Educational Background A master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on ML preferred. A Ph.D. is desirable but not mandatory.
- Industry Experience A minimum of 2+ years in the industry, specializing in machine learning.
- Technical Expertise Proficiency in Python programming and experience with at least one Deep Learning framework such as PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- ML Techniques Deep expertise in at least three areas, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Classification, Prediction, Recommender Systems, Time Series Forecasting, Anomaly Detection, Optimization, Graph ML, or NLP.
- Practical Experience Hands-on experience in developing ML models, preparing data and feature engineering pipelines, and using tools like SQL, PySpark, and Azure Data Studio.
- Cloud Computing Familiarity with cloud computing environments, with a preference for Azure, although experience with AWS or Google Cloud is also valuable.
- Additional Skills Strong research record, potentially demonstrated through publications, and the ability to create intellectual property through patents. Proficiency in relational databases (SQL) and Big Data technologies (Hive, PySpark) is also essential.

- ML Solutions Combine your data science expertise, programming skills, and mathematical understanding to deliver innovative ML solutions for various problems across the enterprise.
- Product Mindset Focus on creating reusable components that can be deployed as ML services or productized solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement Partner closely with engineering, product management, analytics, and transformation teams within Microsoft to deliver exceptional value to stakeholders and products.
- Strategy and Best Practices Ensure that the team’s strategy aligns with organizational goals and that best practices are consistently followed.
- Leadership and Mentorship Mentor and lead a diverse, high-performance team of data scientists, fostering an environment of growth and excellence.
