Job Description
The IT Service Desk at Cognizant is a centralized team that provides technical support to clients, ensuring the smooth functioning of their computer systems and IT services. With a team of 15,000 strong, supporting 90 global clients across different continents, the landscape of the IT Service Desk has evolved significantly due to technological advancements. Today, organizations leverage AI chatbots and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline support processes, reducing the workload on human analysts and allowing them to focus on more complex issues.
Eligibility
- Education: 2022 & 2023 batch of any 3-year Graduation program (UG full-time degree).
- Academic Performance: Minimum 50% in X, XII, Diploma, or UG.
- Nationality: Open to Indian nationals only.
- Flexibility: Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru, Chennai, or Kolkata and to work in any shift timing as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing their IT-related issues and inquiries.
- Ticket Management: Log and track all support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of problems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work with other IT teams to escalate complex issues and ensure prompt resolution.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain knowledge base articles and documentation to enhance self-service options and facilitate efficient problem-solving.
- Client Focus: Ability to work with users from different communities and cultures across the globe.
- Communication Skills: Flawless communication (verbal and written) with clients.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical skills and the ability to work in shifts and from the office.
