About the Role
Goldman Sachs’ Futures Technology Engineering Team is actively hiring a Software Engineering Associate to join their fast-paced front-office environment in Bengaluru. This role is an exciting blend of client onboarding, engineering support, and software development, offering high visibility and cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders.
You’ll play a critical role in onboarding both internal and external clients to the firm’s electronic trading platform, with responsibilities ranging from technical troubleshooting and FIX protocol testing to network analysis, scripting, and deployment oversight. Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for clients—from initial engagement to production go-live.

Gather and evaluate client requirements, conduct capacity planning and throughput management.

Facilitate configuration, testing, deployment, and change management for client integrations.

Collaborate closely with trading desks, platform engineering teams, and external vendors.

Build tools and processes to streamline client onboarding and improve system performance.

Continuously enhance onboarding applications and ensure robustness and scalability.
Skills & Experience Required
Must-Have:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Strong hands-on experience with FIX Protocol (certification & testing).

Client onboarding or connectivity experience in electronic trading environments.

Excellent communication skills, especially with external clients and stakeholders.

Hands-on with UNIX/Linux environments.

Good understanding of SQL, networking (TCP/IP, Firewalls), and system connectivity.

Ability to script or code in at least one language (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl, etc.).

Familiarity with asset classes: Equities, Futures, Options, or FX.

Exposure to software release, version control systems, and DevOps tools.
